Prior to moving in, you will be required to complete a number of documents. These documents include, but are not limited to, medical authorization forms, prescription information, resident agreement, copies of power of attorney paperwork, insurance cards, a summary of monthly invoice charges, leasing information and safety guidelines.
Absolutely. You are highly encouraged to decorate your apartment to make it feel like home. If you have unique decorative needs or interests, please check with our executive director. We will look for ways to help accommodate them.
Yes. Giving and receiving love is at the heart of what we do at Provision Living. We recognize that pets are often a big part of the lives of our residents, and they are welcome in our community. If you wish to have your pet live with you, we ask that you please talk with our executive director. They will provide you with a copy of our pet policy and help you with any other arrangements needed for your pet to live with you.
Of course! This is your home, and we encourage family and friends to remain actively involved in your life at Provision Living. We ask that guests sign in and out of the concierge desk so we can have an idea of who is in the community at any given time. We are not a hospital, so we don’t have “visiting hours.” The community does have a typical time when the main doors to the building are locked. In the event you have guests coming to visit you in the evening or early in the morning, please advise them to call ahead or use the building access system.
Most residents pay for their services by personal check or ACH. Some of our residents have long-term care insurance policies or some other source of third-party income. We will be glad to provide you with any information that can help you to process your insurance claims; however, we do not do direct billing to insurance companies. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.
Yes, you can. Our meal services are available from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with three delicious meals served restaurant-style each day in our dining room. Our open dining approach gives residents the option to eat at a time that works for them. You will find snacks and treats around the community, and many residents keep their favorite snacks in their apartments.
We understand that you may have specific dining preferences or requirements. We strive to accommodate your unique needs, while also respecting your autonomy and dining preferences. We ask that you bring specific dietary requirements or specific food-related issues (allergies, physician orders, etc.), to our attention.
It is our desire to assist you with your transportation needs. We will provide transportation to and from appointments within a 10-mile radius of the community at no additional cost. Transportation services are offered on specific days of the week, depending on the utilization and needs of our residents. However, if your appointments are further away, let us know in advance and we can help you with a reservation.
You will find opportunities for engagement throughout the community. Card games, happy hours, bingo, puzzles, playing the piano, watching a movie and reading are common interests. We also offer scheduled weekly outings. Outings may include lunch at a popular restaurant, going to a movie or the theater or a shopping excursion.
Our clinical professionals oversee and administer the medications of all of our residents. In our experience, this allows us to better serve you and manage situations that may arise. Whenever possible, we prefer to distribute your medications in your apartment. We have found this allows for a more discreet process, one that ensures your privacy. We also offer an excellent option for pharmacy services. We work hard to establish an outstanding relationship with a pharmacy that can meet our packaging, delivery and oversight needs. Our clinical professionals will provide you with information regarding our pharmacy provider and help set up a relationship with this provider.
Yes, memory care services are separate from our assisted living services. Seniors living with cognitive impairment, whether from Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia, require a unique level of support. Our memory care neighborhoods are carefully designed with residents’ safety and functioning in mind.
Smoke detectors, a sprinkler system and a fire alarm system enhance the safety of our buildings. From time to time, our care partners will conduct tests and practice procedures related to these systems. To protect residents in times of natural disasters or unforeseen circumstances, the community has a specific disaster preparedness plan. Periodic disaster preparedness and evacuation drills are scheduled in compliance with safety regulations.
